IPL 2017: Mumbai Indians beat Delhi Daredevils by 14 runs
MI, losing the toss had to come out to bat in front of the home crowd but the batting unit disappointed with a poor show and the team could only manage to post 142/8.
None of the batsman could score much, expect Jos Buttler, Kioron Pollard and Hardik Pandya who got off to a decent starts but failed to convert into big scores.
Amit Mishra and Pat Cummins took two wickets each for the side of DD.
Despite the low total, MI defended the total quite comfortably as Delhi while batting lost too many wickets within few overs of their innings.
While Delhi was struggling by losing six wickets at just 30 odd runs, a partnership of 89 runs between Kagiso Rabada and Chris Morris provided a ray of hope to win the match but ultimately Morris lost his partner and his team could only score 128/7.
While Rabada scored 44 runs, Morris' unbeaten 52 went in vain.
Mitchell McClenaghan had the best bowling figures for MI with 3/24.
