DAV Public School held the centre stage in K C Mahindra All India School Rowing

Kolkata, May 30 (IBNS): Displaying fine form DAV Public School from Chandigarh came closer for a berth in the knock-out stage for the senior boys category as they defeated city based Khalsa High School comfortably on the third day of the 45th K C Mahindra All India Invitation School Regatta at Lake Club course on Rabindra Sarovar here Tuesday.

Chandigarh outfit  that won their first hit on the inaugural day, produced another sparkling  show  winning their race   without much struggle with a timing of  2m 4s , the best timing of the day, to complete the 500 metre  courses.

In the senior boys event  National High School and St.Thomas, both of whom are strong contenders  for the title, also proved their might and won   their second hit against   South Point and Patha Bhavan  clocking  2m4.42 s  and  2m12.10s  respectively.

In the Junior Girls section  La Martiniere Kolkata  “A” and South Point started their campaign winning their respective hits without much efforts. After out rowing Ashok Hall , La Martinire  timed  2m 38.4 s to beat G D Birla High School  while South Point beat Gurbachan High School clocking  2m38.97s.

In the junior boys section St. Sebastian continued with their winning run . This morning they  defeated Nava Nalanda High school with a timing of 2m47.35s.
