Mumbai/IBNS: After she was called "female Ayushmann Khurrana" by producer Tanujj Garg for winning Filmfare Awards, actress Taapsee Pannu came out with a quick retort.

In a congratulatory message to Pannu for winning Filmfare Awards for her performance in Saand Ki Aankh, Garg referred to the actress as "female Ayushmann Khurrana".

Garg tweeted, "Congrats to the powerhouse @taapsee, humaare #Bollywood ki female Ayushmann Khurrana."

Replying to the tweet instantly, Pannu said, "What about calling me bollywood ki pehli Taapsee Pannu."

Pannu, who caught the limelight for the first time with 2016 film Pink, shared the screen space with actress Bhumi Pednekar in Saand Ki Aankh.

In Saand Ki Aankh, Pannu and Pednekar played the roles of shooters Chandro Tomar and Prakashi Tomar respectively.

Presently, the actress is waiting for the release of her film Thappad which has been directed by Anubhav Sinha.

Thappad is slated for Feb 28 release.
