Mumbai, Apr 14 (IBNS): Sonam Kapoor wowed everyone with her performance in 'Neerja', a powerful biopic about an air-hostess, who sacrificed her life to save passengers on board a hijacked flight and now, the actress is quite eager to catch up on a biopic that is already making waves across the globe.
Dev Patel, who made his acting debut with ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, will be next seen in ‘The Man Who Knew Infinity’, a film about the life and struggles of mathematical genius Srinivasa Ramanujan and Sonam, who saw the trailer of the film recently, seems quite eager to watch the much-acclaimed film.

Sonam shared the trailer of the movie, with her fans, on Twitter and gushed about it, writing, “Looking forward to seeing Srinivasa Ramanujan biopic, watch the trailer guys!”

Apart from throwing light on Ramanujan’s life, ‘The Man Who Knew Infinity’ also explores the friendship between Ramanujan and Professor GH Hardy (Jeremy Irons), a British mathematician, who helps and mentors the young genius from South India.

Apart from Dev Patel, who plays the main lead, the film will also mark the acting debut of Devika Bhise, a trained classical dancer, who will play Janaki, the supportive wife of S. Ramanujan.

Devika conducted a lot of research on Janaki to get into the skin of her character and also had extensive discussions with author Robert Kanigel, the author of the book, which inspired the film.

An Edward R. Pressman/Animus Films production in association with Cayenne Pepper Productions, ‘The Man Who Knew Infinity’, starring Dev Patel, Jeremy Irons, Devika Bhise, Stephen Fry, Toby Jones and Arundhati Nag, has been written and directed by Matthew Brown and is slated to release, in English and Tamil, on April 29.
