Shooting for Rani Mukerji-starrer Mardaani 2 begins

Mumbai, Mar 27 (IBNS): The shooting of Rani Mukerji's Mardaani 2 began on Wednesday.

The film will be directed by Gopi Puthran and produced by Aditya Chopra.

Film critic Taran Adarsh shared a still image of the film on Twitter saying: "#Mardaani2 begins... Stars Rani Mukerji... Gopi Puthran directs... Produced by Aditya Chopra... 2019 release."

Mukerji played the lead in the Pradeep Sarkar-directed Mardaani, which released in 2014.

In Mardaani, the Kuch Kuch Hota Hai girl played the role of a tough cop.

Mardaani 2 is scheduled to release in 2019.
