Sanjay Dutt, Salman Khan starrer 'Saajan' completes 25 years

Saajan was a 1991 Bollywood romantic movie starring Sanjay Dutt, Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit in lead roles.

It was helmed by director Lawrence D Souza.

Saajan rotates around Aman played by Sanjay Dutt, Akash Verma played by Salman Khan, and Pooja Saxena played by Madhuri Dixit.

The movie takes audiences through a beautiful journey of friendship between orphan, poor and handicapped Aman and the rich wealthy Akash.

The movie has also given Bollywood one of the most iconic friendships of Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt.

In fact, the career graph of both the actors had changed after this cult movie.

Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan both were at the peak of their career after ‘Saajan’. The thick friendship between Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan that was featured in the film was exactly their real life's reflection.

The chemistry between the two was the talking point then and had set a great example for others.

The movie was released on Aug 30, 1991 and was declared a blockbuster hit soon after the release.

‘Saajan’ was also the highest grossing film of the year shattering all box office records of previous movies.

It had also established itself as the 5th highest grosser of the 90’s decade.

The film still has a cult following because of power packed performances by Sanjay Dutt, Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit .

The music of the film which was given by 90's musical genius Nadeem -Shravan.
