Ram Charan injured during ‘Peddi’ shoot; Pawan Kalyan wishes speedy recovery

Hyderabad/IBNS: Telugu superstar Ram Charan has suffered a minor injury while shooting for his upcoming film Peddi, media reports said.

The actor reportedly sustained an injury near his eye, sparking concern among fans. However, sources have clarified that the injury is not serious, 123telugu.com reported.

Pawan Kalyan, who is also Ram Charan’s uncle, has wished him a speedy recovery.

Ram Charan has been advised rest and is expected to resume shooting soon.

Written and directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi is a sports drama produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas, and presented by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings.

Set against a rural backdrop, the film revolves around a village-level cricket tournament, blending sports, action and emotional drama. Ram Charan has undergone a striking physical transformation for the role, sporting long hair, a rugged beard and a muscular build.

The film stars Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead, alongside Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu and Divyendu in key roles. The background score is composed by A. R. Rahman.

Originally slated for release on March 29, the film is now scheduled to hit theatres on April 30.
