Punjabi actor Ammy Virk to make Bollywood debut with Ranveer Singh's 83

Mumbai, Jan 23 (IBNS): Punjabi actor Ammy Virk has expressed his happiness that he will be making Bollywood debut with upcoming cricket-based movie 83.

The movie will see Ranveer Singh, who is currently gearing up for his next release Gully Boy, playing the lead role in the film.

Ammy, who is also a popular singer, tweeted: "Sat shri akaal sab nu te thnku tuc ainna pyaar ditta, jihde karke m goin to do debut in bollywood... thnku so much... shukar waheguru ji da...@RanveerOfficial bhaji @kabirkhankk sir @83thefilm @RelianceEnt #mantenamadhu sir @vishinduri sir , thnx to @PawanGill bhaji #Relive83."

Ammy will be seen playing the role of former Indian fast bowler Balvinder Singh Sandhu in the Kabir Khan's directed movie which is based on India's 1983 World Cup triumph.

Presented by Reliance Entertainment, "83", directed by Kabir Khan, Ranveer will be seen playing the character of Indian cricket legend and first World Cup winning skipper Kapil Dev in the film.

The movie is scheduled to release next year.
