Piku touches Rs 100 crores worldwide

Mumbai,May 25 (IBNS): Amitabh Bachchan-Deepika Padukone's 'Piku' continued to impress audience and crossed the 100 crore mark worldwide, making it one of the biggest earning films of the year so far.

Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh on Monday tweeted: "#Piku Overseas total: $ 5.36 million [₹ 34.09 cr]. Worldwide total [India + Overseas] crossed ₹ 100 cr. FANTASTIC!"

The other big release of the year Tanu Weds Manu Returns, which hit the silver screen on Friday, touched Rs. 55 crore bin the box office world wide.

Adarsh tweeted: "#TanuWedsManuReturns Overseas total [weekend]: ₹ 17 cr. Worldwide total [India + Overseas]: ₹ 55 cr. AWESOME!"
