Neha Dhupia faces backlash for referring to dating multiple men as woman's 'choice'

Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood actress Neha Dhupia faced heat on social media after she in the course of a television show referred to dating multiple men simultaneously as a woman's choice.

In an episode of MTV: Roadies: Revolution (Season 17), Dhupia came across a contestant who revealed he had slapped his girl friend for cheating on him by simultaneously dating five other men.

Stopping the contestant midway, an angry Dhupia said, "This thing that you are talking about slapping your girlfriend for dating five men simultaneously, just listen to me, 'its her choice'. Nobody gives you the fucking right to slap a girl."

"May be the problem lies with you not with the girl. Agar wo waha jake cheat kar rahi hai to may be she was feeling threatened by you," she added.

However, Dhupia's comment did not go down well with the netizens.

Calling out Dhupia for her "fake feminism", one Ankit Nailwal said, "Get some sense. Don't be a lecturer everywhere everytime."

Actor Payal Rohatgi tweeted, "Ram Ram ji Pls don’t expect #NehaDhupia to unbiased advice on cheating. She will play the #Victim card as she is a #fakefeminism product herself. Afterall her husband is a product of HER cheating as he was in relationship with another woman."

One user said, "Even real feminist got fainted after seeing that clip of #NehaDhupia."

Some users have also pulled out an old episode from Roadies where Dhupia was seen laughing when a female contestant had revealed her similar action (slapping) on four men to call the actress as "biased" and "hypocrite".
