Mumbai/IBNS: Actor Mukesh Khanna, who earned fame by playing a superhero role in television serial Shaktimaan, stirred a massive row with his take on the sexual harassment faced by women at work places, to only get slammed by netizens.

Khanna said he believed the problem of MeToo began as women started working like men.

He said, "Women's job is to take care of their families. The problem of MeToo began when women started working. Nowadays women want to match up with men. The problem starts from here."

"Men and women are not equal," he added.

Quite obviously, Khanna is slammed by netizens for his bizarre comment.

One user said, "As a woman and as a human I regret calling him my favourite superhero!"

Rusha said, "If you want to know more about patriarchy, please refer to the 'Interview with Mukesh Khanna."

One Ishwar tweeted, "#MeToo movement started for many great reasons. But working women wasn't one of them. Who r we to decide anything about women? Who gave us that right? Never knew that my first hero had this mindset. We have to ask ourself. She shouldn't drink,smoke...(list is big)."
