Mantostaan trailer releases

Mumbai, Apr 15 (IBNS): Manto, the great Indo- Pak writer, who set a benchmark in the world of literature , will soon to be seen in India on the big screen in Rahat Kazmi's 'Mantostaan.'

The trailer of the film was recently launched in the presence of it's cast and crew.

Mantostaan is based on four burning stories from India-Pakistan Partition in 1947.

The four controversial stories in the film are - Khol do, Thanda Ghosth, Aakhri Salute and Assignment .

The film features Sonal Sehgal, Shoib Nikash Shah, Virendra Saxena, Rayna Bassinet, Raghubir Yadav and Tariq Khan.

Manto takes you to dark satirical world where his characters grab your breath by portraying darkness yet innocence, grit yet with humor.

The film talks about the sufferings of common people and also how people can be beautiful and ugly at the  same time.

The film has been garnering accolades in Film festivals across the world. It premiered at the prestigious ‘Cannes Film Festival’ and got a standing ovation. The film has traveled to San Francisco Festival of Globe, Melbourne Indian Film Festival,  International Film Festival of India, London Asian Film Festival to name a few.

Jitesh Kumar films & UFI productions in association with Paylesser presents 'Mantostaan' and is slated to release on May 5.
