Kangana Ranaut's Manikarnika, Nawazuddin's Thackeray release today

Mumbai, Jan 25 (IBNS): Kangana Ranaut starrer Manikarnika and Nawazuddin Siddiqui's Thackeray on Friday hit the big screens.

Ranaut could be seen in several fighting sequences while portraying the character of Rani Lakshmibai, the Queen of Jhansi, in Manikarnika.

Jhansi is now a city in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.

The plot of the film is centred on Rani Lakshmibai's fight against the East India Company.

Apart from Kangana, the film, which is directed by Radha Krishna "Krish", stars Jisshu Sengupta in a significant role.

On the other hand, Siddiqui played the role of Shiv Sena founder late Balasaheb Thackeray in Thackeray.

Thackeray is directed by Abhijit Panse.
