Mumbai, Aug 21 (IBNS): Malavath Poorna launched the first poster of her biopic 'Poorna' at the highest peak in the continent of South Africa ( at an altitude of 19,341 ft above sea level )

Malavath Poorna began her ascent on Aug 10 and carried two water-proof posters of her biopic.

The makers of Poorna came up with a unique promotional strategy of unveiling the first look of the film by its real-life heroine at the Mount Kilimanjaro Summit on the August 15.

This is the very first time in the history of Cinema, that a poster of a movie has been launched at a giant mountain’s peak.

Rahul Bose’s production and directorial venture ‘Poorna’ has set a benchmark for other films in terms of promotions..

Poorna is the story of a 13-year-old girl from Telangana who created history on May 25, 2014, by becoming the youngest girl in the world to conquer the Mount Everest.

“Poorna” is set to release later this year.
