'Ek Villain' earns Rs. 16.72 cr on opening day

Mumbai, June 28 (IBNS): Mohit Suri's highly awaited love story 'Ek Villain' , which was released on Friday, has become the second highest opener of 2014.
The film earned Rs. 16.72 crore on the opening day.
 
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted: "#EkVillain Fri 16.72 cr nett [2539 screens]. India biz. Second highest opener of 2014. In terms of screen average, it's HIGHEST. AWESOME!"
 
The film stars actors Sidharth Malhotra, Shraddha Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh.
