Mumbai, Aug 29 (IBNS): After receiving critical acclaim and commercial success for Mastram, writer-director Akhilesh Jaiswal is all set to commence work on his next film.

This yet to be titled film of Akhilesh will be a thriller set in urban India.

The film is produced by JAR Pictures, who earlier produced films like Nil Battey Sannata, Killa and Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana, among others.

Sonnalli Seygall of ‘Pyaar ka Panchnama’ fame will be playing the lead in this urban thriller.  Rest of the cast will be finalized shortly.

Akhilesh’s second directorial venture will go on floor mid-October and is slated for a 2017 release.

Starting his journey in Bollywood as a writer, Akhilesh worked with Anurag Kashyap for films like ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ Part 1 & 2. In 2014, Akhilesh shot to fame with his first directorial venture ‘Mastram’, a fictional biography of the well-known Hindi erotica writer Mastram.
