Deepika Padukone calls her work in 'Gehraiyaan' her most ‘visceral and delicious experience’ yet
Mumbai/UNI: Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone in her latest return to the big screen in “Gehraiyaan”, a Hindi romantic drama released on Amazon Prime Video, has been hailed for her performance which many consider the highlight of the movie.
While the movie itself has received mixed to positive reviews, her nuanced performance in the drama has earned the actress scores of praise from fans and critics alike.
Taking to Instagram, the actress has spoken very positively of her role in the film and said that she is overwhelmed by the experience and the reception she got.
On Wednesday, Padukone took to her Instagram handle to express gratitude.
Sharing a series of stills from the Shakun Batra film, Deepika captioned in her post, “The response to 'Gehraiyaan' has been dizzying to say the least! 'Alisha' has been my most visceral, indelible and delicious experience as an artist. While I am ecstatic and overwhelmed I am also truly grateful and humbled!"
Deepika's husband, actor Ranveer Singh was one of the first people to comment on the post.
Lauding her performance as 'dazzling,' Ranveer stated, “Everywhere I go, people are just talking about how dazzling you were in this film! You deserve every bit of it , my jaan! What an extraordinary artiste you are! Breathtaking portrayal ….. it's magic, pure magic.”
The movie also stars Ananya Panday, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Dhairya Karwa in key roles.
