Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan's Piku to re-release on May 9

Director Shoojit Sircar's emotional movie Piku, the tale tracing the bond shared between a father and daughter, will hit the silver screen on the tenth anniversary.

The movie featured Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan in the lead roles.

The movie originally premiered in 2015.

Deepika Padukone shared the date of the re-release on Instagram.

Deepika Padukone played the titular role of Piku in the movie.

Bachchan essayed the role of her father in the movie named Bhashkor Banerjee.

Sharing the re-release date, Deepika wrote on Instagram: "A film that will always have my heart - PIKU is back in theatres on 9th May, 2025 to celebrate its 10th Anniversary!"

"Irrfan, we miss you! And think about you every so often," she said.

Khan died in 2020.

Apart from Deepika, Amitabh Bachchan and Khan, the movie also featured Moushumi Chatterjee, Jisshu Sengupta, and Raghubir Yadav in key roles.
