
Core of War 2 is a very powerful and a dramatic story: Ayan Mukerji
Mumbai/IBNS: The anticipation around YRF’s War 2 skyrocketed following the teaser release earlier this week.
In his first official statement about the film, director Ayan Mukerji took to social media to share an emotional and heartfelt note, giving fans a glimpse into his journey with the much-awaited action spectacle.
Ayan captioned his post with the team of War 2 saying, "EXCITING TIMES.."

An excerpt of his note reads, "That the Core of this movie is a very powerful and dramatic Story - which really surprised me the first time I heard its script, and has been extremely exciting (and challenging) for me to bring to life!
"And so, as we receive all this love and conversation for our first look of the film, I am longing for everyone to experience the actual journey of this movie’s story - which I believe to be, a new and deeper dive into the spy universe genre!"
About War 2
Directed by Ayan Mukerji, War 2 features Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan and Telugu film A-lister Jr NTR in the lead.
In the teaser spanning 1:34-minute, Hrithik is seen coming back as Agent Kabir and locks horns with Telugu superstar Jr NTR.

The film is poised to showcase fierce battles between Hrithik and Jr NTR in swords as well as guns and jets.
War 2 brings together two of the biggest icons of Indian cinema - Hrithik Roshan as the daredevil Kabir, and pan India superstar, Jr NTR.
The film is slated for a release on August 14, 2025 in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil.
After Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan and Tiger 3, War 2 is the sixth YRF Spy Universe film to be released.
