Mumbai, Aug 17 (IBNS): As 'Brothers' released on Friday to packed houses all over, it is obvious that it opened to a lot of audience hype and expectations; not just the evening shows but even the morning shows were packed.

The first day collections were 15.2 crores and this is Akshay Kumar's highest first day collection ever.

Akshay is elated and is waiting for the weekend figures and hopes they are a landmark too. It's the second highest opening of the year. It is also Sidharth Malhotra’s second consecutive double digit opening. His first was Ek Villain.

Both Akshay and Sidharth are getting a lot of love from the audiences across the globe. For example, Brothers has set the record for the highest first day collection in Pakistan.

With this year’s second highest opening day figure, Brothers all set to be another blockbuster in Akshay and Sidharth’s kitty.
