Bollywood wishes people on Independence Day

Mumbai, Aug 15 (IBNS): Several Bollywood stars have wished people on the occasion of India's 73rd Independence Day.

Acting legend Amitabh Bachchan tweeted, "15th August our Independence Day .. JAI HIND !! Our pride our honour our celebration .. EVER .."

Sharing his old photo on Twitter, veteran actor Rishi Kapoor said, "Jai Hind!"

"Wishing everybody a very happy #IndependenceDay. To all my brothers and sisters all across our beautiful country we are the largest democracy in the world where so many beautiful religions live In harmony let’s show the world mile sur mera tumhara toh sur bane humara #jaihind" tweeted Varun Dhawan.

Actress Taapsee Pannu shared a video on Twitter saying, "A very Happy Independence to all Indians across the globe Jai Hindi "

Rajkummar Rao shared a clipping from his own work Bose: Dead/Alive in the micro-blogging site saying, " Wishing all of you a very happy Independence Day."

India attained its independence from the British rule on August 15, 1947.
