Big B attends pre-wedding bash of Mulayam's grandnephew in Saifai
Lucknow, Feb 22 (IBNS): Actor Amitabh Bachchan on Sunday morning attended the pre-wedding ceremony of Samajwadi Party (SP) supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav's grandnephew with RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav's daughter at Saifai in Uttar Pradesh.
He boarded a flight from Mumbai in the morning with wife Jaya Bachchan.
"Took off for Safai for wedding event .. bad visibility. . Flight diverted to Lucknow .. waiting for clearance .. safety better," tweeted Bachchan.
He also appreciated the fact that political leaders from all front gathered at the event.
"When political power presents itself, its an awesome experience ..with the PM and CM and ex CM's and Cabinet bigs, its incredible," Bachchan posted.
"Also it is valuable to understand that India resides in the rural and small towns .. be with them and ye shall realise the truth !," added he.
Bachchan also noted that despite differences in political ideology, leaders of various opposition parties attended the event to show their respects to the culture.
"The respect and the culture of these regions is so steeped in equanimity tradition, yet when it comes to politics they could differ. But no matter how harsh and opposing they may be in their political ideology, they come on one platform for family events ..," tweeted Big B.
Mulayam Singh's grandnephew and Mainpuri MP Tej Pratap Yadav is tying knots with Lalu Prasad's youngest daughter Raj Lakshmi in what could cement the relation between the two most powerful political families of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
