Animal actress Triptii Dimri to romance Kartik Aaryan in Aashiqui 3: Report

Mumbai/IBNS: After turning a sensation on social media following the success of 'Animal', actress Triptii Dimri has bagged a project which will be directed by Anurag Basu, media reports said.

Triptii will feature alongside Kartik Aaryan in 'Aashiqui 3', PinkVilla reported.

The film, which will be romantic like the first two parts, will go on floors in the first quarter of 2024, the report says.

Triptii, whose romantic scenes with Ranbir Kapoor in 'Animal' has caught the public glare, has turned into an overnight sensation on social media.

The actress, whose nude scene with Ranbir in the film has created quite a buzz, got her Instagram followers' count shot up by manifold. She is even referred to as the "national crush" on social media.

Apart from 'Aashiqui 3', the young actress, who first caught the limelight in 'Bulbbul' and 'Qala', will next be seen in a film alongside Vicky Kaushal.

'Aashiqui', which was released in 1990, is an Indian Hindi musical romantic drama film and first installment of the 'Aashiqui' series that was directed by Mahesh Bhatt, starring Rahul Roy, Anu Aggarwal and Deepak Tijori in pivotal roles.

A sequel to the film, 'Aashiqui 2', with a completely new theme, directed by Mohit Suri with Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor, was released in 2013.
