Mumbai, July 9 (IBNS): Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar on Saturday said he has received Faravahar from the Zoroastrian community in New York and New Jersey.

He thanked the community for their wishes.

"Blessed 2 receive this Faravahar from the Zoroastrian community in NewYork & NewJersey!Thank u 4 ur wishes 4 #Rustom," Kumar tweeted.

Kumar is currently busy promoting his upcoming film 'Rustom'.

The Farvahar also known Far-e Kiyani is one of the best-known symbols of ancient Iran (Persia), Iranian nationalism and Zoroastrianism. The Farvahar is the most worn pendant amongst Iranians and has become a secular national symbol, rather than a religious symbol because it has been absconded with by non-Zoroastrians, although its Zoroastrian roots should not be ignored.
