Yeddyurappa in, Varun out in BJP new team by Amit Shah

New Delhi, Aug 16 (IBNS): Dropping Varun Gandhi as a general secretary and bringing in former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa as one of the vice-presidents, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah on Saturday announced his new team of the party functionaries.

Shah announced the names of Bandaru Dattatrey and Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi as two other vice-presidents of the BJP.

The newly-appointed BJP president’s team comprised eight general secretaries including party’s in-charge for Bihar Rajiv Pratap Rudy and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) spokesperson Ram Madhav.

Surprisingly, BJP MP from Sultanpur Varun Gandhi’s name was dropped as a general secretary by the party.


Shah also appointed 10 new party spokespersons.
