Will oust BJP in 2019 Lok Sabha election: Mamata Banerjee

| | Jul 21, 2017, at 08:35 pm
Kolkata, July 21 (IBNS): In an unsparing attack against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said on Friday that Trinamool Congress (TMC) will oust the saffron party from political power in the next Lok Sabha election.

Banerjee made the comment while delivering her speech from the public gathering on the Martyr's Day which is celebrated by TMC on July 21 every year.

In a 50 minutes speech, the TMC supremo chose the BJP as her prime opponent, attacking the latter on a number of issues.

She had alleged that BJP is the sole reason for fanning the communal stirs in the state, which were evident recently in Basirhat and Dhulagarh.

She said: "BJP is using Facebook (social network) as a tool to stir communal riots in West Bengal."

"Cyber crime is a big crime," Banerjee added.

The WB CM even called for a unity among all opponent parties to give tough contest to the BJP in the next Lok Sabha election. "West Bengal is with Congress, RJD, DMK and all others who would fight against BJP."

She even stated that in 2019 General Election, the saffron party would fail to get even a single seat from the state.

The TMC chief even attacked the central government run by BJP for not co-operating with the state counterparts.
