West Bengal: TMC leader makes 'obscene' attack on PM Modi, Smriti Irani and other BJP leaders

Kolkata, May 16 (IBNS): Triggering a fresh controversy, a local Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader on Tuesday made 'obscene' remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union minister Smriti Irani, Bengal BJP president Dilip Ghosh and BJP leader Locket Chatterjee during a public meeting at Khatra area in West Bengal's Bankura district, local media reports said.

According to reports, general secretary of state's ruling party's Bankura district unit, Jayanta Mitra, allegedly used several 'vulgar' words whiling slamming BJP leader-ministers.

"Smriti Irani can never be a mother or a daughter-in-law, she is spending her life as a heroin of Narendra Modi," TMC leader Jayanta Mitra said.

Attacking Dilip Ghosh and Locket Chatterjee, he said, "Satan Dilip Ghosh, who is an anti-social element and a wagon-breaker from Kharagpur, and his nightlife partner Locket Chatterjee are coming here on May 24."

"Don't be confused if they (Dilip Ghosh and Locket Chatterjee) try to make you perturb. Make your brooms ready to sweep them away," the local Trinamool leader added.

Jayanta Mitra also questioned the dressing of Locket Chatterjee during the mass rally here at Khatra.

Reacting on the matter, BJP state president Dilip Ghosh told IBNS: "Using vulgar languages and gestures have become a political culture of Trinamool Congress and its leaders."

Meanwhile, Locket Chatterjee said, "I'm outside Kolkata today and have heard about the incident. This is expected from a party like TMC."

"I will definitely take step against the leader, who made such remarks, when I get back to Kolkata," Chatterjee told IBNS.

However, no reaction from TMC leadership in the issue has been received so far.
