West Bengal: Missing BJP worker's body recovered from a pond in Murshidabad

Kolkata, Jul 3 (IBNS): Following the alleged twin murders of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers Trilocon Mahato and Dulal, another party-worker who was missing since Sunday night, has been found dead in a nearby pond in West Bengal's Murshidabad district.

Tweeting the picture of the deceased, West Bengal BJP president Dilip Ghosh wrote: "Horrifying Death of another active BJP karyakarta, Dharma Hazra(Zilla-Murshidabad,Vill- Taldanga, Rejinagar). He was missing from yesterday night, today his deadbody with tied hands was found at nearby pond."

The worker was reportedly found with his hands tied up.

The BJP has accused the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) of being involved in the murder.

Condemning the incident, BJP national president Amit Shah tweeted, "TMC shames humanity, yet again. Another BJP karyakarta killed in the most barbaric manner. In Mamata's regime, West Bengal has become an epitome of violence & brutality. Entire BJP stands firmly with Dhormo Hazra's family in this hour of grief. My deepest condolences. Om Shanti."

Weeks ago, two BJP workers- Trilochon Mahato and Dulal- were found dead in West Bengal.

Dulal, 30, was found hanging from a high tension electric tower in Dabha village of West Bengal's Purulia district in early June.

Two days before Dulal's death, 19-year old Mahato was found hanging from a tree inside a jungle at Supurdi village under Balarampur Police Station limits in Purulia district of the state.

Both the incidents were also termed by the BJP as the ruling Trinamool Congress's (TMC's) political violence in the eastern state.
