Kolkata/UNI: Fresh bomb explosions were reported near BJP MP Arjun Singh's residence at Jagaddal in North 24 Parganas on Tuesday.

The incident occurred barely a day after the Union Home ministry ordered the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to probe bomb blasts that happened in front of Singh's house on September 8 last.

Sources said the explosions were reported within 200 mt radius of Mr Singh's house.

Sources from Jagaddal station police rushed there to investigate the incident.

However, no injury was reported in the bomb explosion.

The incident has created panic among the residents of the industrial town of North 24 Parganas.

On September 8, unidentified miscreants hurled two bombs near Singh's house and another near the post of central armed forces, stationed there for the protection of the politician.

However, there were no reports of injury in that incident.

Singh was not present when the bombs were hurled last week.

Singh was in Delhi at the time of the incident.

The BJP MP charged the ruling TMC with masterminding the attack as he was made an observer to the Bhawanipur assembly seat for the upcoming by-election on September 30.

"And this time explosion happened after the report of NIA to probe the crime," stated Singh.

The NIA is expected to start probing immediately, sources added.
