VCOAS pays homage to martyrs

New Delhi, Aug 25 (IBNS): The Vice Chief of the Army Staff, Lt Gen Philip Campose, paid tributes to the mortal remains of Naik Neeraj Kumar Singh and Grenadier Rahul Kumar, both residents of Bulandshahar District (UP), who were martyred in the call of duty.

On Aug 23, Army conducted a Counter Infiltration Operation in Keran Sector, during which Grenadier Rahul Kumar made the supreme sacrifice while engaging terrorists.

In another operation in Kupwara District on Aug 24, Naik Neeraj Kumar Singh serving with a Rashtriya Rifles Battalion attained martyrdom engaging terrorists.

A wreath laying ceremony was held on  Monday at New Delhi Airport. Many senior serving Army officers also attended the ceremony to pay homage to the martyrs.
