US-India relationship is important: Kerry

Washington, July 28 (IBNS) US Secretary of State John Kerry on Monday said the relationship between India and the USA is important and it will affect direction of the 21st century.

" US-India relationship is one of the most important relationships that will affect direction of the 21st Century," Kerry said on Monday.

"This a key relationship for the United States, and deepening our ties with India is a strategic imperative," he said.

He said both the nations can work together to tackle global challenges.

Kerry will visit India on July 30.

This will be his first visit to India since the formation of the new government in the Asian nation.
