UP government will work towards development for all, appeasement for none: Yogi Adityanath

Gorakhpur, Mar 25 (IBNS): Yogi Adityanath during his first public address as Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh said that the newly elected government will work towards development for all but appeasement for none indicating that there will be no religion based politics, in Gorakhpur on Saturday.

"The government will work for 22 crore people of the state," he said.

Reinstating the motto of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Yogi said that the agenda of UP government would also be 'Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas' (development for all).

"No section of the society will feel alienated" he said.

Apart from development, UP CM also stated that BJP government would work to make the state 'safe for women'.

Speaking about women's safety, Yogi said: "After becoming the CM, I got maximum calls from women who are worried about their safety. We have already activated Anti Romeo Squad in the state. We must ensure that every girl should be safe on the streets even at midnight."

"But no one should take law into his own hands," he added.

UP government started the Anti Romeo squads in last few days and also police officers were seen to question any man whom they felt to be suspicious.

However, CM ensured that there would be no moral policing in the state if it does not cost the safety of women.

He even highlighted the steps taken by his government to ban the slaughter houses within just few days after swearing-in.

Yogi, who was a five times MP from Gorakhpur constituency credited PM Modi and BJP President Amit Shah for the enormous victory of Bharatiya Janata Party in UP.

"BJP has entered a new era of politics as well as in the state of UP because of the visions of PM Modi and party President Amit Shah" he said mentioning the success of the saffron party in UP.

The new CM of Uttar Pradesh stated that he would carry forward the schemes of central government and reach out to every single person.

Referring to PM Modi's vision of 'development for all', Yogi said: "PM was worried about the development of UP. Now I have been given the responsibility to make development for 22 crore people of the state."

Though CM during his brief speech did not mention the law and order situation during the regime of previous government, he ensured that UP government will help the state to emerge from poor governance.

Yogi even promised that by mid June, all roads across the state will be repaired.
