UP CM Adityanath receives surprise visitors as Mulayam's son and daughter-in-law call on

Lucknow, Mar 24 (IBNS):Uttar Pradesh Chief Miniaster Yogi Adityanath, who had his way to the office through a political battle with the Samajwadi Party-Congress alliance, on Friday received two surprise visitors- SP founder Mulayam Singh Yadav's younger son Prateek and his wife Aparna.

According to media reports, the couple met with Adityanath at the 'VVIP Guest House' in Lucknow, where he has been staying since he was sworn in on Sunday.

According to NDTV, Aparna and Prateek  arrived with a bouquet of peach roses.

The couple left about 20 minutes later.

The SP was the main rival of the BJP which dethroned the Government of Akhilesh Yadav, the elder son of Mulayam Singh Yadav.

Aparna, Akhilesh's sister-in-law, also contested the elections and lost to  Congress-turned-BJP candidate Rita Bahuguna Joshi.

Before the election campaign,  Aparna and Prateek Yadav were in Akhilesh's rival camp as a bitter power struggle within the SP shook the organisation.

After Akhilesh won the battle which was largely against the camp led by his father and things were swept under carpet,  Akhilesh Yadav's wife Dimple Yadav, a star campaigner for the Samajwadi Party, held a rally for her sister-in-law.
