Kolkata/IBNS: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday quizzed journalist-turned-Trinamool Congress (TMC) mouthpiece Kunal Ghosh in connection with its ongoing probe into multi-crore Saradha chit fund scam, officials said.

According to reports, after being summoned by the Central economic probe agency, Ghosh appeared before the investigators at the ED office at C.G.O. Complex in Kolkata's Salt Lake at around 11 am. and he is currently being interrogated by the ED officials.

While entering the ED premise, Kunal Ghosh said that he would cooperate with the agency in the investigation.

"I always cooperated with the CBI and the ED in Saradha investigation and after getting notice, today I am here again to face the questioning as well as to submit a few documents," Ghosh told the media.

Earlier in 2013, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed by West Bengal government had arrested Kunal Ghosh in connection with the Saradha scam and later in 2016, he was granted an interim bail.

Besides ED, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is also probing the ponzi firm scam.
