Terror suspect Jainaulabdeen arrested by Mumbai Police, brought to Bangalore

Bangalore, Sep 27 (UNI) Terror suspect Jainaulabdeen, who was arrested by Mumbai police and brought to Bangalore on Thursday, was a hardcore terrorist and wanted by CCB Police from last 10 years, Bangalore police said on Friday.

Bangalore CCB ACP Venketash Prassan, who investigated the case, said the accused would be interrogated on October 6 in Bangalore, as he was wanted by Bangalore CCB in Chinnaswamy stadium bomb blast case.

According to police, the terrorist was a close associate of Yasin and Reyaz Bhatkal and supplied bombs and raw material. He is involved in more than 23 bomb blast cases in various places of the country.

Jainaulabdeen was active in terrorism-related activities, since the age of 19. He was wanted by the CCB police for the last 10 years. He was brought to Bangalore for investigation in the 2010 Chinnaswamy Stadium cases, in which more than 15 people, including police personnel were injured, the source said

Bangalore CCB police are now interrogating Jainaulabdeen over his suspected activities and about those, who had harboured in Bangalore, the source added.
