New Delhi, Sept 3 (IBNS) Controversial godman Nithyananda Swami, who has been accused of rape, was asked to take a potency test by the Supreme Court on Wednesday.

The godman had earlier said that he is not capable of having sex and since a series of medical tests were ordered.

He was arrested in 2010 from Himachal Pradesh, but was granted conditional bail by the Karnataka High Court with stringent conditions.

The spiritual guru has been slapped various charges, including molestation, rape, harassment and religious disloyalty. A woman based in USA had alleged that she was sexually abused by the godman for years besides similar allegations from other disciples.
