New Delhi, Dec 26 (IBNS): BJP Rajya Sabha member Subramanian Swamy has urged the party to bar its politicians from wearing western clothes and consume liquor, as part of party discipline.

"Article 49 of Const (sic) directs alcohol drinks be banned. While I am not for penal action, BJP should make as part of party discipline," Swamy said.

In an another tweet, he said that western dress imposes slavishness, and therefore should be replaced by Indian climate friendly clothes.

"Western dress is a foreign imposed slavishness. BJP should make it of party discipline for Ministers to wear Indian climate friendly clothes," he said.
