Varanasi, Feb 22 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday advised students of Banaras Hindu University that they should always keep the 'student' in them alive.

He said curiosity is an important element and without it a person will reach 'stagnation'.

"I congratulate those who were conferred their degrees today. I also convey my good wishes to their parents..The student in us has to be alive always," Modi said while addressing the convocation ceremony of the BHU.

"'Jigyasa' (curiosity ) is important. If there is no 'Jigyasa', there is stagnation," he said.

Modi said India will need to find solutions to several challenges that the world is currently facing.

Modi is currently visiting Varanasi.
