Security forces nab three persons along with illegal arms, IMFL in Nagaland’s Dimapur

Guwahati/IBNS: Security forces have seized huge cache of illegal arms and Indian-Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) in Nagaland’s Dimapur area.

The security personnel also apprehended three persons who run the illegal acitivities in the area.

Based on intelligence input, security forces launched an operation at 4th Mile area near Dimapur area on Monday evening and apprehended three persons who were identified as Vikheho Assumi, Yazaka Labo and Kakivi Assumi.

They recovered one 7.65mm pistol with magazine, one point 22mm rifle with magazine, one Chinese hand grenade, five rounds of 7.65mm live ammunition, two point 22mm live ammunition, 1435 cases of IMFL amounting Rs 7.94 lakh and Rs 6,61,740 in cash and other incriminating materials in possession from them.

A top official of Dimapur police said that, the nab persons are also involved in illegal arms trade.

Later the apprehended persons along with recovered items were handed over to Diphupar police station for further investigation.
