Sec 144 imposed in Mumbai
Mumbai/UNI: The city police on Wednesday imposed section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) following the spike in Covid-19 cases in the financial capital of the country.
Deputy commissioner of police (operations) Pranaya Ashok said that this will prohibit any presence or movement of one or more persons in public places or gathering of any sort anywhere, including religious places subject to certain conditions.
The prohibitory order will be effective form today till July 15, unless withdrawn earlier, he added.
