The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday announced the arrest of a Faridabad resident for allegedly harbouring terrorist Umar Un Nabi shortly before the November 10 car bomb blast near Delhi’s Red Fort.

The accused, identified as Soyab, is the seventh person taken into custody in connection with the attack, which killed several people and left many injured.

According to the NIA, its investigation has revealed that Soyab not only sheltered Umar Un Nabi but also provided logistical support ahead of the suicide bombing. Earlier, the agency had arrested six other alleged associates of the bomber as part of case RC-21/2025/NIA/DLI.

The NIA said it is pursuing multiple leads related to the attack and continues to conduct searches across several states in coordination with local police forces to identify and track additional suspects.

“Efforts to unravel the entire conspiracy behind the deadly terror attack are continuing,” the agency said.

In a related development, the State Investigation Agency (SIA) and the Special Operations Group (SOG) of Jammu & Kashmir last week arrested another individual linked to a ‘white-collar’ terror module believed to be connected to the blast.

The suspect, Tufail Ahmed, an electrician from Pulwama and a native of Srinagar, has been detained for his alleged role in the wider conspiracy, though his direct involvement in the blast remains unclear.

The November 10 explosion killed at least 15 people, including the driver of the vehicle, Dr Umar Mohammad, who died in the detonation near the Red Fort Metro Station.

Investigators have so far seized nearly 2,900 kg of explosive material from rented accommodations in Faridabad and detained or arrested several individuals, including medical professionals and a cleric from a local mosque, as the probe widens.
