New Delhi/IBNS: Indian actress Rakul Preet Singh has filed a plea in the Delhi High Court to stop the media reports linking her to the drug case in which Bollywood star Rhea Chakraborty has been arrested, media reports said.

Rakul in her plea said the media is linking her to the drug case even after Chakraborty retracted from the statement in which she had allegedly named the actress.

The high court has sought a response from the central government on Rakul's plea.

Chakraborty, who has been arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in connection with its investigation into the allegations of drug abuse and distribution in actor's Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, has named actors Sara Ali Khan, Rakul and designer Simone Khambatta in her statement to NCB.

So far, the NCB has arrested at least a dozen people in connection with the drug angle of Rajput’s death.

They include Rajput’s household staff, Samuel Miranda and Dipesh Sawant, Chakraborty’s brother Showik and six alleged drug peddlers.

Chakraborty and her brother have been remanded in judicial custody last Friday till Sept 22.
