Rahul Gandhi flays PM Modi, demands probe into DDCA corruption allegations

| | Dec 24, 2015, at 07:13 pm
Amethi, Dec 24 (IBNS) Hitting out at Narendra Modi for suspension of BJP MP Kirti Azad over DDCA corruption charges, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Thursday demanded that the Prime Minister order a probe into the allegations.

"When Modi ji was campaigning, he said that he will neither indulge in corruption nor let anyone do it...But, today his own MP has pointed out at corruption, but Modiji is silent,"  Gandhi said in Amethi, his Parliamentary constituency. "He should order for an inquiry and must take action on this."

Gandhi's reaction came a day after the BJP suspended its Darbhanga MP and former cricketer Kirti Azad for his attack on Finance Minister Arun Jaitley over alleged corruption in the Delhi District and Cricket Association, which  Jaitley headed for 13 years.

Azad has been charged by his party with indulging in  anti-party activities and  “colluding” with Congress and AAP to bring it to “disrepute.”
