Punjab polls: Sisodia's comment triggers speculation on CM candidate

Mohali, Jan 10 (IBNS):Fuelling speculations, AAP leader Manish Sisodia on Tuesday told people of Punjab that they should cast their votes by thinking that they are voting for Delhi Chief Minister and party supremo Arvind Kejriwal.

Sisodia's comments triggered speculations about AAP's choice of candidate for the Punjab CM's post.

Speaking at a public meeting here, the Delhi deputy chief minister said: "You should vote for us thinking that you are voting for Kejriwal."

Attacking Sisodia over his remark, Punjab deputy CM Sukhbir Badal tweeted: ".@ArvindKejriwal will never protect the interests of Punjab. His track record speaks for itself. He betrayed Punjab on SYL."

He said: "We are Punjabis first & anything else later. The sacrifices made by the brave punjabis for attaining the state of Punjab would be in vain, if an outsider becomes CM of our State."
