Punjab: Police seize illegal liquor, one held in Moga

Moga/UNI: The Moga district police seized 90 boxes of illegal liquor and 10 boxes of beer and arrested a notorious smuggler, the police said on Saturday.

According to the police, on a tip off, Nihal Singh Wala Police conducted a raid at the shop of Utter Pradesh liquor smuggler and seized the illegal liquor and beer on Friday night. The accused was identified as Umesh from Uttar Pradesh.

Police investigation revealed that the accused would bring the illegal liquor from different places and was selling at high prices in this area.

Police have registered a case against the smuggler under excise act.
