Punjab Minister Bikram Singh Majithia unfurls tricolour upside down

Amritsar, Aug 15 (IBNS): Triggering a controversy, Punjab Cabinet Minister Bikram Singh Majithia on Saturday unfurled the national flag upside down during an Independence Day function here.

The function was held in the Guru Nanak Stadium.

Majithia was attending the function as the chief guest.

The mistake was later rectified and corrected.

Two cops were later suspended for negligence, reports said.
