Puducherry student commits suicide

Puducherry, Oct 6 (UNI) A college student committed suicide at Puducherry Railway Station on Saturday night.

Police said, the student came to the Railway station and lied down with his head on the track just in front of the last compartment of the Yeshwanthpur Express which was ready to start around 2200 hours last night.

As the train started, it ran over him and his head got severed.

People who noticed the body after the train left the platform informed the Odeansaali police who seized the body and sent it for post-mortem.

The deceased was identified as Manoj (20) hailing from Vellore in Tamil Nadu.

He is pursuing BSc second year course in a college there.

Following family problems, he left the house two days back and his parents were searching for him.
