Bengaluru, Jan 8 (IBNS): Attending the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas programme in Indian's IT hub Bengaluru on Sunday, Portuguese Prime Minister Antonio Costa said he's proud to be a person of Indian origin.

Costa, who attended the meeting alongside his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi, reportedly flashed his PIO card while stating his sentiment.

He also hailed the event as an "event in which India respects its citizen living abroad."

In his speech, Prime Minister Narendra Modi termed Costa as one of the greatest Pravasi (non residential Indian).
