Srinagar, July 21 (IBNS) : A Jammu and Kashmir police constable has been abducted by terrorists from his home in south Kashmir's Kulgam district, media reports said.

The constable was reportedly abducted last night. He was currently on leave.

A manhunt has been launched by security officials to trace the abducted policeman.

The incident took place a fortnight after a police constable was abducted and shot dead in Shopian.

In June, a soldier was kidnapped and killed by terrorists in south Kashmir. Rifleman Aurangzeb of 44, Rashtriya Rifles, was kidnapped when he was on his way home to celebrate Eid.
