Kolkata/IBNS: A team of Kolkata Police has reached Burdwan town of West Bengal to trace and quiz a man who was barred from entering Union Home Minister Amit Shah's rally venue in Kolkata's Shaheed Minar ground on Sunday for carrying a 'licensed' pistol, sources said.

A senior official of Kolkata Police said that the team will examine all documents related to the pistol and will also question him why did he attempt to enter such a high security zone with a loaded gun.

Earlier on Sunday afternoon, minutes before Amit Shah reached the rally venue at Shaheed Minar, police had stopped a man at the entrance of the ground for carrying a pistol.

During interrogation, the man, Jadunandan Kundu, produced his gun's license and claimed himself as a retired CRPF jawan as well as a BJP activist.

After taking the photos of the man, of his gun and its license, policemen forced him to leave the area immediately.
